Effective Solution for Remote Serial Digital Video/Audio
Transport |
 |
The
standard 1400 system is designed to transport one (1)
channel SMPTE-259M SDV or SMPTE-310M ATSC signal and four
(4) channel AES/EBU signals over long distance through
either singlemode or multimode fiber. |

The 1400 Series is a high performance, yet
affordable, Fiber Optic Serial Digital Video/Audio Transport System. The
1400 design will only accept synchronous AES/EBU channels of 44.1 or 48
kHz frequency. Because of the use of advanced digital, fiber optic transmission
technology, no user adjustments are required in the 1400 system, enabling
quick setup and trouble-free operation. The 1400 Series is designed for
compliance with SMPTE-259M, SMPTE-310M, and AES3-1992 (ANSI S4.40-1992,
IEC 958). The 1400 Series comes with two packaging options: a rugged,
standalone, and compact unit, or a plug-in card for a card cage system.
Panel connectors are the provided for digital serial audio (BNC connector)
and fiber connection (FC-type for the singlemode version, or ST-type for
the multimode version). The 1400 Series is easily monitored through front
panel LED indicators for power, optical link, and channel activity. The
1400 design is capable of addressing a variety of non-standard configurations.
